Yard waste disposal is available to city residents. Items allowed for drop off include leaves, pine needles, and other yard debris (paper lawn & garden bags are okay). No furniture, appliances, dirt, rocks, sod, or building debris are allowed.
Yard and wood waste is accepted year round at Winton MFG, located off of hwy 2 approximately 1 mile east of Coles Corner. Accepted Items include needles & cones, grass clippings, garden residues, leaves & branches, all tree species, root balls (free of rocks & dirt), tree trunks and branches (NO limit on diameter or length of pieces/sections), untreated wood waste (free of nails, staples and paint), and sod (free of excess dirt). Items NOT allowed include plastics, glass, metals, pet waste or manures, treated or painted wood, rocks, & dirt.
Located at the intersection of Icicle and East Leavenworth Roads, the brush yard is available if you live outside the city limits, ONLY to those people living in the Apple Maggot Quarantine Area. How do you know if you live in the quarantine area? Visit the Washington State Department of Agriculture's website.
Open: Fridays 9am - 3pm during the operating season. The site is typically closed when snow and snow melt covers the site, from about early November to at least March. It is also closed on holidays.
Disposal cost is $25 per cubic yard. Cash or check are accepted
