Material Compensation Policy

Got something really good that deserves a second life? We’d love to keep it out of the landfill—and put a little value back in your pocket. Here’s the short version:

What Qualifies

• Modern appliances – working, clean, under 5 years old (stainless fridge with ice maker, efficient washer/dryer, slide-in range).
• Complete, modern cabinet sets – matching uppers + lowers, all doors/drawers/hardware present, no water damage.
• Sheet-goods bundles – ten or more identical full sheets, ½″ thick or heavier (plywood, OSB, etc).
• Specialty stars – mini-split heat pumps, solid Craftsman exterior doors, high-end tools, etc. (Ask first; a quick photo works wonders.)

(Regular donations are always welcome. These rules just cover the items that earn compensation.)

How Compensation Works

  1. Minimum value: The item—or bundled set—must list in our store for $200 or more.

  2. Your options:
    • Store credit: 20 % of our list price, rounded to the nearest $5 (max $200 credit per drop-off).
    • Cash: 10 % of our list price, rounded to the nearest $ (max $100 cash per drop-off).

  3. On-the-spot pricing: We inspect, set a fair resale price using live market comps, and issue your credit (or cash) before you leave.

Example: A washer we’ll list at $400 = $80 store credit or $40 cash for you.

Consignment for the Really Big Stuff

Have a standout piece worth $1 000+—say a 48″ commercial range, a Sub-Zero fridge, or a giant live-edge slab? We can consign it:

• You keep ownership; we display and market it.
• When it sells, you receive your agreed-upon % of the sale price.
• Standard term is 90 days (longer if stored off-site).
